Dear Madam
Thank you so much for sending Willy to Australia to college & allowing us to share 12days with him.
My goodness, he is such a loveable lad – he is so happy & willing to participate or help in anything.
Willy is tidy organized young man, & from the very first afternoon, he bonded with us both. We have noticed that the students all have a lot of respect for each other (and their teachers as well). It is very refreshing to see mate-ship of this caliber. He regards his studies at college as quite important.
During his time with us, we have spent time with him, improving his already quite adequate English skills, and explaining different concepts & ideas with him. We expect that one of the most enjoyable parts of his time with us was learning to play snooker – he gets so excited when he learns something new.
Willy takes pride in his appearance and in the way he dresses – he does make a striking waiter in his formal clothes.
As with the rest of your students, he has become quite attached to Rusty, our red poodle. We don’t who will miss who more – the students or Rusty.
Willy has a great tool in his I-Pad – he interpreted many concepts that were difficult to discuss with our language differences. He & the other students have shown us Taiwanese food & culture on the I-Pad – preserved eggs (sounds nice) & pork blood cake (sounds yuck) among other things.
Will says that the best part of his trip was staying with us at our home – this brought a tear to Dianne’s eye when he said this.
We wish Willy, along with his school-mates, long, happy, healthy life, filled with love.
Kind regards,
Jim Symes & Dianne Riley
